About Jim Dunn

I have been an ALPA member since I started controlling in 1986. I have worked in Nelson Tower, the old Wellington Centre as an Area controller, Christchurch Centre as a both Wellington and Auckland approach controller along with Auckland Centre before it’s closure. I have also spend time in general aviation as a flight instructor as well as one year with Air New Zealand as a First Officer on the F27.

My time with ALPA has been spent primarily on the ATC Council and Board of Management, with 10 years as ATC Director.

I am married with two grown children.
