Negotiations update

Current and ongoing negotiations involving NZALPA are detailed below. For any related queries, please email office@nzalpa.org.nz.

Air New Zealand Simulator Instructors – Advocate Joy Walpole-Leva’a 

We have initiated bargaining with the company. We anticipate meeting with the company in late February to introduce the log of claims and organise a bargaining process agreement, before beginning negotiations. If you have any questions/concerns please contact sim.negotiators@nzalpa.org.nz.

 

Tasman Cargo – Advocate Adam Nicholson 

Negotiations continue with a meeting again later in February. 

 

Helicopters NZ – Advocate Adam Nicholson

In the drafting stage before settlement.  The new Fatigue Risk Management System (when approved by the Civil Aviation Authority) and the new rostering system will be interesting for all.

 

Airways Air Ground Services – Advocates Joy Walpole-Leva’a and Adam Nicholson

At the time of writing, we have completed the drafting of the document and are waiting for the final version to send out for ratification.

 

Jetstar – Advocate Adam Nicholson 

Bargaining was initiated on 11 February.

 

Canterbury Aero Club/International Aviation Academy of New Zealand – Advocate Joy Walpole-Leva’a 

We have initiated bargaining and are setting down dates to meet as a negotiating team before meeting with the employer. 

 

Air Freight NZ – Joy Walpole-Leva’a

At the time of writing, we have a members’ meeting scheduled and will initiate bargaining soon. Please email airfreight.negotiators@nzalpa.org.nz if you have any feedback.
