IRISH UNION AGREEMENT REACHED
Just as Uplink went to press, and following a 22-hour negotiating session, Ryanair management and the Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (IALPA), part of the wider Forsa union, had reached a mutual Agreement.
Air Transport World reported that, as part of the wider European dispute, Irish pilots were concerned about working conditions including seniority and base transfers, leading to the recent series of strikes.
The proposed agreement would then go to ballot, “with a recommendation for acceptance from Forsa and its Ryanair pilot representatives.” The final step would be approval of the agreement by the Ryanair Board.
